So, an awkward, embarrassing and intimate story about me. Oh-oh… I somehow think all my stories fit those requirements… *giggles* Once in history class I was wearing an oversized sweater-dress and a belt, and heels, and just my underwear underneath it. I had been lazy in the morning. We had a computer assignment, and while typing I suddenly felt my bra open. I thought “shit, when I get up that stupid thing is going to hang somewhere between my boobs and belly bottom” and practical me tried to do a “Flashdance” inspired bra-move: I pulled the thing out through my sleeve. Only when I held my little red lace futility in my hands, a soft cough behind my back pointed out the presence of the history teacher…

I guess that was enough to satisfy the criteria… Now, on to blogs I nominate!

  8. My favorite philosopher(s) are… Nietzsche, Kant and Descartes (but I love all philosophy, really)
  9. Three things no one should do without are… Decent physics/math classes, delicious food, loving friends and partner(s)
  10. The best/worst thing about insanity is… Worst must be the dissociating/hallucinating, Best is without a doubt the fact the world becomes a lot more interesting all of a sudden 🙂

And then my nominees…

…………………………………………………………………..

The Incredulous Hulk Award

I have been once again been nominated for an award, even though I guess this time it’s a slightly questionable honor… http://societystacktrace.wordpress.com/ has awarded me the Incredulous Hulk Award for stubborn atheists xD… Ah well, one has to be proud on what he believes in, even if that’s nothing, no? This award has very few rules; the only thing you must do to get it is being an atheist! 😀 If you happen to be religious and annoyed by atheists, you can also spread it yourself 😀

…………………………………………………………………..

I have been nominated once more, for the Reader Appreciation Award this time! I love the epic blog http://prideinmadness.wordpress.com/… It has an interesting combination of funny messages, inspiring thoughts and critical articles about mental illness stigma. Definitely worth reading…

1. Include the award logo somewhere in your blog.
2. Answer these 10 questions, below, for fun if you want to.
3. Nominate 10 to 12 blogs you enjoy. Or you pick the number.
4. Pay the love forward: Provide your nominee’s link in your post and comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been included and invited to participate.
5. Pay the love back with gratitude and a link to the blogger(s) who nominated you.

The Questions…

  1. What is your favourite colour? Black, red, blue. Don’t make me choose!
  2.  What is your favourite animal? Cats and bunnies!
  3. What is your favourite non-alcoholic drink? Wait… Absinthe is alcoholic… Damn. I guess it’s coffee then…
  4. Facebook or Twitter? I’d say Facebook because I don’t have Twitter… but lately Facebook is annoying the hell outta me, so none of both options I guess.
  5. Favorite pattern? Are your really asking a mathematician with a psychosis what her favorite pattern is? Bad idea. Really.
  6. Do you prefer getting or giving presents? I love both!
  7. Favorite number? I love all numbers. Numbers are awesome. Don’t want to insult them by giving preferences…
  8. Favorite day of the week? That will be Friday… Mostly because my internet does NOT die on Friday night, for some reason, in opposite to other nights.
  9. Favorite flower? Hmm… Roses are cliché, but I like them… Favorite flowers are orchids though.
  10. What is your passion? I would have said “science” before my illness broke through… Now I’m not sure. I just try to be passionate about living life and enjoying all things in it.

The Nominees…

Check them out because each and every one of them is awesome. I mean it.

…………………………………………………………………..

I have been awarded several awards lately… The incredibly interesting people from http://itthemthey.wordpress.com/ awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award, and I’m very, very honored by that. Now we know the rules, but here they are again:

  • The Versatile Blogger AwardNominate 10 fellow bloggers.
  • Inform said bloggers about their nominations.
  • Share 7 random things about yourself.
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you.
  • Put the Versatile Blogger Award picture in your post.

And here come again, seven random things about me:

  1. I’m apparently psychotic again;
  2. I’ve been baptized (christian) twice (long story) yet I’m still an atheist;
  3. The Riemann Hypothesis is female (and a delusion of mine);
  4. I love top hats and surrealism;
  5. I love to cook and bake, and I usually make dinner for my family;
  6. I’m the oldest of four kids;
  7. I have a fetish for operating tables and medical material…

And my nominees… There aren’t enough of them, I know… I have a problem at the moment with getting WordPress Reader to work as it should on my computer… very annoying…

…………………………………………………………………..

I have also been awarded the Sunshine Award by http://prideinmadness.wordpress.com/… The questions I had to answer are in an update of this page above… And again I call in my current computer problem in my lack of nominees…

…………………………………………………………………..

This does not really count as an award, but I find it necessary to post it here nevertheless. http://prideinmadness.wordpress.com/ tagged me with a request to take a special pledge, something I most definitely can appreciate and relate to. I am glad to be part of this project…

 The Rules:

  1. Take the pledge by copy and pasting the following into a post featuring “Blog for Mental Health 2012″.
  2.  Link back to the person who pledged you.
  3. Write a short biography on your mental health and what the pledge means to you.
  4. Pledge 5 others

I pledge my commitment to the Blog for Mental Health 2012 Project. I will blog about mental health topics not only for myself, but for others. By displaying this badge, I show my pride, dedication, and acceptance for mental health. I use this to promote mental health education in the struggle to erase stigma.

So… a biography… Let’s see… I call myself Quantumphysica The Insane for a reason. When I still studied Physics, I was in love with the subject. When I look back on it I (and the doctors) can say it was mania, an obsession. But I was happy, excited, completely satisfied with my life. The pressure of the university however caused me to break apart. I carried trauma with me I myself had long forgotten, and some bad genetic heritage as well, and before I knew it I was psychotic, suicidal and admitted to a mental hospital.  I had an apparently severely damaged personality, developing schizophrenia, and a still-not-really-controlled psychosis. (well, I guess I still have those…) After app. 4 months my parents took me home against the advice of the psychiatrists. Now I’m home, trying desperately to cope with my symptoms, that include blackouts, dissociation, hearing voices, hallucinating, mental static, a separate entity known as the Riemann Hypothesis sharing my body (long story, really), self-harm and my family (strictly not a symptom but I still have to cope with it)… To me this pledge, and blogging about mental health in general, means that I share what I experience and come across online. If I can only make one person smile or relate to my writing, I think I’ve succeeded.

Now… The people I pledge…

    Do they check on what you post here? Just wondering.

  2. Thanks!!! You’re so awesome, and fascinating. I didn’t know that you are into photography. I am involved in a new project that launched yesterday. A collective for amateur and pro photographers with mental illness, starting with a blog site and hopefully going on to bigger things. I’d love for you to be a part, if you are interested, and submit some photos. It’s at BrokenLightCollective.wordpress.com
    Best. Xx,D

    • Thanks a lot, you’re making me blush 😉
      That project of yours sounds really interesting! Maybe I will submit some photographs… I like taking them, but my only camera is the one in my pc… (So yeah, all the pics you see on here are made by turning my pc in a strange angle *giggle*)

  3. thetrissgutza says:

    Love your seven things, especially the math-related ones 🙂

    • I used to study Physics, you know… I love math more than anything else…

      • thetrissgutza says:

        I love math the most too 🙂 although I can’t say my knowledge of physics is very great. But I am in love with physics too.

      • It’s very hard for me, because my condition made that I had to quit studying… I miss it very much… especially Abstract Algebra, I simply adored that…

      • thetrissgutza says:

        I can understand that. My conditions make school almost impossible. The only reason I’m still plugging along is because my parents are kinda rich, so I’ve been able to afford to screw up a lot. Abstract algebra is awesome. Sorry that you miss it so much. You will get back to your studies someday, since you love it so much. Where there is a will, there is a way. Best wishes. -trissgutza

      • Thanks…
        I hope I will get back to it one day… It won’t be any time soon, but one day I’ll get back to it. I know that much.
        It’s pretty epic your still trying. Rich parents or not, I know a lot of people who would have given up a long time ago 😉
        Take care,
        QP

  4. Thank you so much for nominating Apocalypse Art for the Versatile Blogger award. I’m honored and it’s very appreciated. I will get to the selection and the posting as soon as I can. This is a really interesting blog you run.

    • Thanks and you’re welcome! I find your blog a very interesting concept 😉

      • So hi again. One of my worst faults is disorganization. Which is to say I still haven’t organized my response to the Versatile Blogger award you endowed on me, and which I truly appreciated. I just thought I should let you know I’m slowly accumulating the list of blogs, and so on. Meanwhile, congratulations on all these new nominations. Very well deserved.

      • no problem at all! xD

  5. Dear quantumphysica,
    Thank you for nominating me, it’s a lovely compliment that you like my blog. I’m afraid I don’t do awards though, I don’t want to have to choose blogs to nominate in return and leave other people out so I made my own award – The Dotty Headbanger Award For Being Mental And Loving It, which you can award to yourself if you think you deserve it.
    Again, thank you. 🙂
    Love Dotty xxx

    • Dear Dotty,
      The compliment is well deserved! I understand your point on awards though. I’m already mental, the “loving it” part still needs some work. I’ll let you know if I ever think I deserve it!
      Love,
      QP
