Hello everyone, QP is back! The exams are over, and while I don’t exactly have high hopes for my results, I have a lot of other good things to look forward to. (Like a trip with Experiment No.7!) More important now is that I can finally spend time blogging about interesting things again… like Don Moyer’s “Calamityware”. After inheriting a traditional fine bone china dinner plate from his great-grandparents, Moyer -who is a graphic designer- played around with the illustration on the plate and added all kinds of disasters to the idyllic little scene. This was the beginning of Calamityware, a set of amusing “altered” dinner plates with monster fishes, robots and ufos disrupting the peace of the original designs…
Several of Moyer’s designs are already for sale at http://calamityware.com (I’m especially fond of the monster fish plate…)
Innovative! I love unexpected stuff like this. Cute monster. 😉
Good to hear exams are done and you’ll be posting more often. We missed you.
I am always amazed by the extraordinary and exquisite designs and things you dig out of the internet, thank you so much for this interesting and mind teasing blog!
