Memento Mori Monday: Shinji Nakaba’s “Vanitas” Rings

Glyptics (the practice of carving and sculpting precious stones) is a very old art, but jeweler Shinji Nakaba still uses it on a variety of materials. My favorite pieces are his incredibly detailed pearl skull rings. The rings, appropriately called “Vanitas”, make for an excellent Memento Mori.
