Seeing Right Through It: The Transparent Trend

I missed the NYFW while in France for skiing, but that didn’t stop me from buying fashion magazines (yes, yours truly reads fashion magazines. I have a broad interest.) and following the trends. One thing that most definitely caught my eye was the see-through trend in clutches, shoes and accessories. I will not speak of the see-through shoes on the Gucci Catwalk, I am against anything that shows crushed toes to the world. But further…

Clutches are from Stella McCartney (quite possibly the only item in the show I actually liked), Valentino, Burberry (my personal fav, I love the colors and the locks), and Gucci. The plexiglass collar is Gucci as well and the shoes are respectively by Céline and Chanel. I know a see-through bag isn’t exactly most practical if you’re a messy clutter-collector like so many… maybe finally an incentive to keep the clutter to a minimum?
