Mineral Adornment… Sarah Loertscher

Chaos and geometry are close companions, as far as we didn’t already knew this the jewelry of Seattle-based Sarah Loertscher definitely proves it. Her designs seem chaotic tangles of metal thread at first, but actually they are inspired by the faceted looks of minerals and crystals in their natural form. Beautiful, minimalist, elegant… what do you want more?

About quantumphysica

My name is QuantumPhysica The Insane, but you can call me QP. I am insane, admitted to a mental hospital in Belgium, and waiting for a decent diagnosis at the moment. Once I was a physics student with goals in life and what more; now I'm simply the patient of Room 93. Ever wondered what life is like in the psychiatric ward? I'll tell you everything you ever wanted to know... I am... particularly twitchy of personality. But I also am genuinely interested in everything. There is nothing that doesn't interest me, really. Everything, from quantum computers to fashion and cars to traveling... I also give advice. On anything. No taboos whatsoever. And I make lists of things...

    Nice, very elegent design.
Hey, can I ask you a totally random question? You are the closest friend I have with schizophrenia. I know your parents sometimes rub you the wrong way, but is it plausible for you to wish physical harm on them?

    • Yes, that is very possible. Don’t we all sometimes wish physical harm on the people close to us? I don’t sneak to their room at night armed with a meat knife, if that’s what you’r referring to, but there definitely are times I wish that they would just explode.
My murderous urges are never anger- or revenge- based, so mostly directed towards unknowns. I’m fascinated with the act itself, not the victim.

Last I ever wished physical harm on a close one was back in high school. You made my heart skip a beat with your meat knife reference 😦 I truly hope you get well enough to be fully independent and move out of your parent’s house; any status on this? How is your recovery coming along? You are doing a great job of making the best of your situation, and keep up your fashionable opinions on beautiful and interesting objects 🙂
I would LOVE to chitchat with you on some of the past insane murderers, but this just isn’t the right season for it 🙂
