I did a post on Yayoi Kusama a long time ago, but for those who don’t remember, Kusama is an 81 year old pop art icon, who lives in a mental institution and rocks polka dots in every possible way. Oh yes, and she is also incredibly rich. Can you tell that I love her?
Anyway, she collaborated with Louis Vuitton and created a collection that reflects both the LV spirit and her own vision. You should really check out the site (it was especially set up for the collaboration and contains an app to transform yourself into a Kusama artwork!) Here I will show only my favorite piece, the Speedy 30 handbag. In my opinion it really combines the best of both LV and Kusama…
